The Addiction are a group of San Diego based freelance musicians who come together, no rehearsals, to perform as often as possible. Since we are all available for hire there is a rotating cast of musicians that know the material. Jacob Miranda, original bassist for the band: manages, books, and chooses performers based on availability. No favorites. Originally started as a trio, The Addiction was the house band for "Neo Soul Tuesday" at the Onyx Room, showcasing the smooth styles of R&B and Neo Soul. After that ended, Jacob saw potential, and took it upon himself to keep booking the group in the music scene . Staying true to the original idea, Addiction pays homage too R&B/Soul/Pop legends, new and old. Our shows are more than a cover band, we are real musicians doing real musician things.
